Your first job as a freelance writer is always interesting. IE, you’re screwed before you start – to get a job on a platform like UpWork, you need to have jobs there already. First thing clients look for: the jobs you’ve done, and how you were rated by clients.
There’s an answer, but you may not love it. Go after the cheapie jobs, those that don’t require experience. Those that pay 15 or 20 bucks. A few of those, you can step up your rates.
What will you write about, you wonder? On UpWork, there is something for everybody. Contracting through cats. Leasing trucks through lessons in something. You’ll find something that suits you.
In my next blog, I’ll discuss the structure of a good blog entry.
